Caty & Blue
I would like to share some photographs from a recent shoot of Caty and her horse, Blue.
It was a typical winter sunset in Johannesburg. The sun was warm and plenty of dust in the air as we eagerly await the rainy season to start. This does however help to create soft warm light.
I really enjoy working with people that love their animals. So many claim to love them but one can quickly tell the pretenders from the true horsemen. Caty is gentle and quiet around her horse. This helps to create pictures that tell a story.
Tarryn & Teneile
Two sisters with their babies and a horse… Lots of squeaky noises coming from me and Tarryn’s husband. This was a first for me.
Denise & her Friesian Family
I love heavy horses and I recently had the privilege to photograph Denise and her 6 Friesian horses. Five mares and a young colt. She requested photographs to be taken of them as they have very recently moved to her property. They were previously on a farm and have not been handled much.
